Why Isn't It Ticking? — Meet Your Automatic Movement

If you just picked this watch up off our table and noticed it wasn't running — don't worry. Nothing's wrong with it.
This watch runs on an automatic movement, powered by the motion of your wrist.
There's no battery — but if it's been sitting still for a few days, the power reserve will have run down, and it'll need a little help to get going again.
How it works
Inside the case is a small rotating weight that spins with the movement of your arm, winding an internal spring that powers the watch. Once it's running, everyday wrist movement keeps it wound.
If the watch has been off your wrist for a few days, give the crown around 20 winds to build up enough power reserve to start it ticking. From there, your wrist motion will keep it topped up. A fully wound watch will keep running for up to 2 days off the wrist.

Try it yourself
Gently unscrew the crown counter clockwise until it pops out to its neutral/base position (Position 0 or 1 depending on case design, but do not pull out to the date/time clicks).
Turn clockwise: Roll the crown forward (clockwise / away from you) between your thumb and index finger.
Give it 20 to 30 turns for a basic jump-start, or up to 50 turns to fully power the ~41-hour reserve.
Push the crown back in and screw it clockwise ensuring the crown is tight and firm.
Put the watch on, and go about your day.
You'll see the seconds hand sweep to life — and your wrist will keep it running from there.
